HUNGAROCOMIX exhibition

There will be an awesome exhibition of various Hungarian comics from the past until the present (possible future?) in Paris and I was lucky enough to make the poster design. I basically just took an old page from Pál Korcsmáros and drew my character next to his. ANYWAY…if you’ll happen to walk the streets of Paris between the 13th of june and the 13th of july, take a look :)

RACISM

1mx5m print will be exhibited in Leipzic book fair. Hope you like it :)

Leipzig here I come!

something will be exhibited from me in Leipzig, Germany. Here's a detail...

Playing Lucas

Hey felluz!
I'm currently redrawing an old piece I did about 6 years ago. I used more flat colors back then and had less drawing knowledge. But the whole reason for this is an exhibition I will take part in.

more to come...

Cheers!

So...

I made an illustration for an upcoming comic art exhibition

Page 1 INKED!

Today I had to go to school to waste my whole day instead of working on thsi comic. But finally I finished the inking of the first of 4 pages! (a little Guy Davis stuff by the side to help with the blacks:)

DINOSAURS, CAVEMEN AND THE F***ING COLOSSEUM..!

...in this preview of my newest comic iin the making.

Some shitty photos I did with my phone of the comic I'm working on. Today was penciling day, tomorrow hopefully will be the day for the lightbox and the inking so the day after tomorrow I can finally color the whole shit and send it just before the deadline. Sounds pretty impossible, but I hope it'll still work out the way I planned it. Inked pages, comin' up!

Life over 60 (untranslated...yet)

Even if it didn't win the contest I got a surcharge for the stuff. The story isn't such a big deal, I didn't have time to translate it yet but I'll definietly swich this version with a translated one once I have time to do it. I think it worked out pretty well as a comic. I tried to learn some inking from Bruce Timm's pinups and comic art as well as from Dan Clowes (coloring was a thing I took from Ghost World). The task of the contest was to make a comic that shows the positive side of old age.

And Last but not Least a song that matches my comic in some ways
When I Get Old by the Descendents!!!

60+ Preview

First two pages of the comic I'm doing about old people. I think it'll be good. I'll upload a translated one after the whole competitions over.

Studio and other stuff

Some pics of my messy room and sneek peek at the project I have to finish by tomorrow. I'm pretty behind so I'll have to pull my shit together if I want to do the six pages with the coloring by tomorrow noon. I'm inking with brush which is an extra difficulty factor. I prefered using art pens and rotring radiograph pens up until this point. I have to teach myself to handle this tool!

Now back to the table folks!

60+

I'm currently working on a 6 page comic about retired older guys who have a blast doing hat ever they want to. This piece will be done for an "invitation only" competition, the first prize winner will get some money and all works ill be exhibited here in Budapest. I'll post up some inked pages in a couple of days.

Bye!

Cheers!

Pedophile self portrait for Jacko's death anniversary

Sorry, that wasn't very nice of me, actually it's made for a self portrait exhibition we are putting together with some friends of mine.

Exhibition in Lyon

Some of us Hungarian comic artist had been exhibited in Lyon. Although I was in Annecy which is pretty close to Lyon, I didn't manage to get to the opening. Here's a vid interview about the stuff, although I couldn't understand it since I don't speak french at all. Excusez-moi for that:)

The Last match

David Schitter, who is a member of the Kuš! Baltic comics magazine invited me to join the exhibition of the last match. To encourage me he sent some pretty nice stuff, including an issue of Kuš. The task was to draw a little picture which is connected to the theme "the last match".
This is the paper I have to draw on:
I'll post p the finished work, as soon as I do it!

Bringing the generations together

I took part in a comics exhibition here in Hungary, It was quite good, The gallery made a big print of one of my favorite pages of The Boy Named Sue.

It was the best exhibit I ever took place in. Nice saxophone music, wine and snacks and there even was a catalog of us artists. It pretty much blew my mind.
